John B. Boyd, founding member and Emeritus Attorney with Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish, has been honored as a DISTINGUISHED ICON Leader in the Law by Missouri Lawyers Media. This annual celebration honors career achievement by recognizing lawyers for their exceptional and lengthy contributions to the profession and community — those who personify the ideals of what it means to be an attorney.

Boyd has witnessed profound transformation in the legal profession, identifying the entry of women and minorities as the most significant change — not only in numbers, but in the perspectives and experiences they brought to every facet of practice, expanding access to justice for those who were often overlooked when he began.

He takes the greatest satisfaction from representing hard-working women, men and their families — getting to know them and helping them find remedies in the law.
