Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish Managing Partner Brianne Thomas Earns Prestigious ABOTA Membership

 

Independence, Mo., February 5, 2026 — Brianne Thomas, managing partner of Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish, LLC has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

ABOTA dedicates itself to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. Members in this prestigious invitation-only group must have tried a minimum of 10 civil jury trials to conclusion. More than 7,600 lawyers and judges are involved in ABOTA chapters in all 50 states.

Since 1983, Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish has emphasized its efforts in workers’ compensation, labor law and personal injury. The firm has grown to 11 attorneys with offices in Missouri and has advanced experience in civil litigation, products liability, insurance and consumer rights, as well as other complex trial and general civil case services.

In 2025, Brianne represented Plaintiffs for wrongful termination, predatory towing, race discrimination and employment retaliation with successful verdicts totaling $11.9 million.

A graduate of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law with undergraduate degree from University of Arizona, Brianne has been recognized as a 2015 Rising Star by KC Business Magazine and a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Law and Politics Magazine for the past six years. She was voted “Best of the Bar” in 2013, 2014 and 2016 and has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as the “Top 40 Under 40.” In 2012, she won the President’s Award for achievement as a board member of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL).

In 2012, she was honored with the David J. Dixon award by the Missouri Bar Foundation which recognizes outstanding work in appellate advocacy. Most recently in 2021, Brianne was named Litigation Practitioner Award nominee for the Missouri Women's Justice Awards.
