Q&A
Did you always want to be an attorney? If not, what other careers did you consider?
As a child I wanted to be a ballerina or a marine biologist, but as an adult, I always loved writing and wanted to be a journalist or a lawyer.
Why are you the best at what you do?
I’ll answer with a quote:
I care. I care a lot! It’s kind of my thing. – Leslie Knope, “Parks and Recreation”
Share something about your personal life.
I am a military spouse (Air Force). I enjoy working on pro bono cases through Military Matters, especially adoptions.
My husband and I lived overseas in Japan while he was stationed there, and we climbed Mt. Fuji. Our daughter was born in 2025 and is the joy of our life. We have two dogs and a cat. We love hockey and are San Jose Sharks (and KC Mavericks) fans.
I clerked for BKTP my entire third year of law school. I love concerts and music festivals, and go whenever I get the chance.

I draw great inspiration from John Steinbeck:
“I believe a strong woman may be stronger than a man, particularly if she happens to have love in her heart. I guess a loving woman is indestructible.”

I have found such great passion in advocating for others, both inside the courtroom and outside of it.
